The external of the metal housing has been exposed to some kind light purple color, but does not effect operation lens. National Optical 1.5x 715-420 auxiliary objective lens for microscope, the is thick glass and I cannot observe any defects in glass, either or protective Plano exterior plate. This lens sells for approx $150 new, but they have changed the shape of exterior and it no longer look exactly like what is shown in my photos. The effective working distance is approx 35mm for a 1.5x lens.

This may make a difference if you are trying to match your LED light ring with new objective. So I don't need this one any more. This objective came with a National Optical 420 series microscope and I needed greater working distance ordered in different.
